Great collectible pen for an avid Montblanc fan!!!
The silver mounting at the bottom of the cap is engraved with MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK. The Pen is named and fashioned after Ramses, one of the most powerful pharaoh's of the Egyptian Empire who reigned during the 13th century BC. Lapis was known to be the pharaoh's favorite stone, often used for amulets and other ornaments. This fountain pen uses a piston filling system. The nib is hand-crafted with 18 ct gold inlaid with platinum. 

This fountain pen was created by Montblanc in 1995 as a hommage to the Pharoahs. This writing instrument made by Montblanc is a rare Ramses II Le Grand  146 fountain pen model # 20146. It has enjoyed wide popularity because of the striking 22K gold leaf over sterling silver pinstriping, juxtaposed against the lapis lazuli cap.

The barrel of the pen is a vermeil body and has 3 small hallmarks and 925 engraved in a tiny box on the underside. The pen clip attached to the cap is engraved with the serial number and GERMANY METAL 3.
